Bollywood box-office report of the week
|
As was obvious, last Friday's only new release, Abbas-Mustan's much awaited RACE was off to a huge start, across India and Overseas. Produced by Tips Films and starring Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy, RACE got the benefit of the holiday weekend and netted a very imprssive 22 crores in three days. Trade expects that RACE will get maximum returns from Bombay circuit, South, Delhi and Punjab. While on the Overseas, RACE grossed an excellent $728,938 from the UK with a huge print average of $15,846 and a good $802,254 from the US but with a smaller print average of $8,356...
